Who is Gator Bikesure?

Chain Reaction branded policies are arranged by Gator Bikesure Ltd and underwritten by Red Sands Insurance Company (Europe) Ltd. Gator Bikesure Ltd is an Appointed Representative of ETA Services Ltd who are Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under firm reference number 313965.

How do I make a claim?

You can make a claim by contacting the Administrator on (+44) 800 368 8442, online or by email contact@insurance-uk.chainreactioncycles.com. This must be done within 30 days of a claimable event.

How much coverage do I need?

Each bike rider’s needs are unique and each bike is different. It is important that you consider your situation and needs carefully. We have all kinds of coverage options for both rider and bike to choose from. Please drop us a line if you have any questions.

Is my bike covered under my home and contents insurance?

Each policy is different, but as a general rule, coverage for bicycles on home and contents policies are very limited. Plus, if you damage your bicycle whilst out riding (especially if you’re racing), you’re not likely to be covered.

Do you cover batteries?

Absolutely. This comes as standard with our e-bike policy, which includes when they are damaged in an accident or as a result of loss due to an approved theft claim.

Can I store my bike in a wooden shed?

You can store your bicycle in a wooden shed, provided you secure your bicycle therein using an approved lock to an immovable object. Please note, the wooden shed must be privately accessible to you, securely locked and your shed will need to be located within the boundaries of your primary residence.

Can I keep my bike in a garage?

Yes, provided the garage is privately accessed, fully enclosed, built of brick, concrete or stone and roofed with slate, tiles or multi layered roof; attached to or within the boundaries of your private house. Any doors must be fitted with a with at least five levers mortice deadlock, conforming to British Standard (BS 3621).
