Can I store my bike in a wooden shed?

You can store your bicycle in a wooden shed, provided you secure your bicycle therein using an approved lock to an immovable object. Please note, the wooden shed must be privately accessible to you, securely locked and your shed will need to be located within the boundaries of your primary residence.

Can I keep my bike in a garage?

Yes, provided the garage is privately accessed, fully enclosed, built of brick, concrete or stone and roofed with slate, tiles or multi layered roof; attached to or within the boundaries of your private house. Any doors must be fitted with a with at least five levers mortice deadlock, conforming to British Standard (BS 3621).

Can I insure my cycling helmet, accessories and clothing?

Yes you can, please list these when taking out your policy online or give one of our friendly team members a call to add these to your new policy. For helmet and Clothing please list them as Other and provide a lump sum value for all these items. If in doubt – just give us a call and we will happily assist.

Do I need a proof of purchase for my bicycle?

Yes. A proof of purchase is required in the unfortunate event of a claim. Without it we may not be able to approve your claim. If you are concerned that you may not be able to provide us with a proof of purchase, please give us a call to discuss your options.

Will my policy renew automatically?

At the end of each Period, your policy will automatically renew into the next Period of Insurance and we will continue to take payments unless you notify the administrator otherwise. We will notify you with at least 3 weeks before the official renewal date and will further provide you with an additional 14 day cooling off period at the beginning of the next period.

Is my bike covered whilst on a roof rack?

Yes, roof rack cover comes as standard with our Bicycle cover. Please note, you are required to lock your bicycle to the roof rack using an approved lock through the frame, including both wheels.

Is my bicycle covered whilst on a plane?

We too travel with our bikes overseas, and so we fully understand the concern when it comes to handing over our precious bikes to the famous luggage handlers. No need to worry, we’ll protect your bike whilst in transit. Just remember to choose Worldwide cover if you’re travelling outside of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
